I just welded my diff. up and I'm looking for any info about reaasembly. All tips and hints will be welcomed. I found some really good disassembly info on another website, but using it reverse isn't working to well.:nut:

Thanks in advance

MTX re-assembly

SHONut has a DVD or VHS on this which is excellent.

Also, there is a guide here:

http://www.shophoenixproject.com/mtxtrans/MTXdisassembly.htm

Lots of forum posts on problems. Biggest headache is the 5th/reverse setup, but if your tranny was working prior to dis-assembly should be good to go.

Remember DON'T use RTV on tranny halves only anaerobic gasket maker.

Also this is a great time to install a drain plug !

I Used that same manual for disassembly. I sent the author an email about some info on reassembly but no answer yet. I have already put the drain plug in and have the right sealant.

The problem I'm having is that when everything is in the case, I can't run the shifter thru the complete nuetral slot with out lifting up and aligning the shift mechanism on the mainshaft. I'm not sure If I'm supposed to, but it would be nice to know if there is some rigging of some sort I didn't do.

tranny issues

I would recommend you get the SHOnut video. You may need to re-shim the differential, though not if it is the same diff i don't think.
