Maybe I'm the only one to have a few bad experiences with the Motorcraft wires. In spring of 2002 I did a 60k and replaced the original Motorcraft wires with new ones. The number 6 plug wire didn't seat completely and Torrie from FPN sent me a whole new set, no questions asked. The new plug wire fit correctly. Then, last April, my car started missing. I put the plug wires as the problem at the bottom of the list as the cause. Well, after much troubleshooting I finally replaced the plug wires with the extra set from Torrie and the miss is gone. Only 15,000 miles on the wires. I'm waiting to see how these hold out. Anybody else had a bad experience with the Motorcraft wires?

Ok, stupid question for you...

Did you buy the 3.0L wires, or the 3.2L wires?

If the 3.0L wires for the ATX, did you use the wire looms? If so, it's too tight, and you'll break the wires when the engine torques.

So if you do buy the 3.0 wires for the 3.2, do you just have to let them run loose and not in the litle looms or clips that hold the wires in place correct?

No. The WR-4033 wires designated for the 3.0L SHO engine will fit in all of the wiring clips on the 3.2L. You just have to remove all slack on the rear bank wires and make a straight shot from the rear valve cover to the coil pack. I have found that the WRE-4081 wires designated for the 3.2L SHO engine are of a different quality. Possibly from a different source manufacturer. The wires do not have the cylinder numbers on them and the boots seem to be fitted to the wires without the same high level of quality and consistency that the WR-4033 wires exhibit. I recommend using the WR-4033 wires for both SHO V6s.
