If you had a 95 ATX and a 92 MTX, how hard would it be to swap the motors/trans/exauhst? After searching it looks like the only problem would be the center consoles for the shift knobs. Both cars are in good shape, running, would be keeping/driving both cars.

Thanks

It would be esiar than an ATX to MTX conversion wouldn't it? because you can move the whole drive train and swap subframes? I probably won't even try it was just an idea because my ATX is red and my new MTX is white and I wan't a red MTX, I was just searching engine swap and with both being gen 2's I thought it would work. Plus then I'd have the only 92 ATX.

Since I just completed making an ATX into an MTX by swaping entire subframes, then a month later switching to the 3.2 w/3.0 cams, I'd have to say it is not that hard if you have the knowledge, time, experience working on cars. If not do not try it, it takes a lot more time than you might think. It is easier to swap the whole assy's though. So it is possible, but not an easy 3 day task. Ask some of the people who have seen the ever changing view at my garage. Craig
