motor lost power

i was takin my 90 mtx to the mechanic to have a new crank seal and motor mounts put in and it all of a sudden lost power i had the hood off overnight and it rained on it but i had a bag over the filter and was wondering if it getting wet wouldd cause anything like that or if the motor has messed up i never made it to the mechanics and he said he had no clue any suggestions? thanks

Pull off your spark plug boots, the wells are most likely full of water. Other things could be wet as well.

my advice is get all the water out of the plugs and let the whole engine bay dry out over the next few days.make sure its going to be sunny though!

I used to have the same problem whenever I had my engine detailed. It was always water in the plug wells. Blow the water out with compressed air, or just let it sit for a while and the water will evaporate.
