so I'm still having problems getting the CircleTrackSHO #13 on the track.

The car starts and runs.. but doesn't want to stay running.

We found a bad ground and fixed it so the sudden shut-off issue went away, but the car was still sputtering out.

Last week, the car ran fine in the pits, ran fine up to the scale house, ran fine into the chute. Idled during waiting for our race to start.. pulled out onto the track, made 1/2 lap and then it bogged down and stalled. Had to be pushed off the track.

Back in the pits we rolled and rolled and rolled it trying to get it fired back up and it wouldn't run. Finally the battery gave up and we quit working on it for the night, loaded it up on the trailer and brought it home.

Put in on the charger.. charged it back up.. flipped the switch and hit the starter and it started right up..

With a tremendous motor knock ?!

What the ****.. how can it be knocked.. damn thing wasn't even run ?!

I don't know how far into the engine you went, but could the timing be off? You could have skipped a tooth or more if you had a bad tensioner. That would cause you to knock and run rough. Pull the top timing cover and make sure the belt has tension.

Just a guess.

Going to check on this right now.. we didn't check anything yet, I was so despondent I just walked away.
