Moroso June 24th?

Moroso is having a midnight madness event on June 24th. They are having test and tune from 6pm-1am for 15 bucks. I will probably be going as this is plenty of time in advance for 1/4 mile runs.

Those who don't know where Moroso is, it is located just north of West Palm Beach... if not familar with this area that is about 75 miles north of Miami International Airport.

It would be cool to get some other SHO's out there, I know some of you will be busy with the Gainseville meet but this could be pretty fun. Sometimes test and tunes aren't very busy and you can get a lot of runs in. Id say in that amount of time you could easily do 6 to 15 passes or so.

I wonder if I can build up a tranny by then, it would be great to hit the track with a hard and fast 1-2 shift, but the speeds this car should be trapping at are right at the begining of 3rd and out of the powerband..... Anyone think I can break into 14's with a atx, a couple more mods and awesome traction?

i might be down for coming down that way,i think if you had a quick shifting
auto,some 15's w/sticky tires and a few more mods you could see 14's
if not you could always get a zex kit and spray a 50shot you'll be there for sure!

yes nitrous would be fun in 3rd and 4th gear lol

I'd like to try to find a MAF, maybe a summit y pipe but money will be tight for that by then, some sort of intake system, and thats about it until I want to progress a couple more steps and get into cams/tuning/porting or FI.

BTW any of you ever raced a prowler? would u believe I was pulling on one throughout 3rd on the highway muhahaha..... They really don't have a lot of power but still a cool car and ****. I also pulled a RSX and 04ish Civic SI, this car pulls good when in the powerband through 3rd gear.

when it gets up to like 5500-6500 in 3rd you can just feel it pulling a lot harder then before those RPM's... it gets fun in the powerband haha

I might come. Depends on what I've got going on. Most likely I won't be able to get there till 10 or so though.

Unless you get there right at 6 or whenever they open, you sit and wait A LOT on midnight madness nights because there's so many people. But if you're there the whole time, you can get in well over 20 passes.

love to go, but when I think about it reality bites.
if I go early 6pm I will have to wait in a line of cars,
then wait around all night long and if im lucky I may
get 3 passes in 5 hrs of waiting around. then drive
120 miles home.
not my idea of fun, immokolee is a better track, I get
tired of making passes, and there isnt 500 ricers trying
to break 15sec 1/4
last week I took my 91 made 2 licks and turned 10sec
@76mph in the 1/8 mile.

10 years ago MOROSO used to be a good track.

If you go right when they open, there's usually no line so you breeze through tech and hop right on the track and make about 3 passes in 10 minutes. Last time I went, I got there about 7:30 and made 8 passes.

What's wrong with ricers trying to make sub 15 sec passes? That's me!

I'll be down to go the 7th, I might not run but I'll see if my friend will come along and you can meet her, shes awesome! That way I won't have to leave early like last time to go meet up with her. Just not a big car girl, but she tolerates it and atleast has some interest. Im gonna have to educate her a lot on it one day.


whenever any of you goto moroso drop a thread here and I'll meet up, I might not race that night but Im always down to meet SHO owners and see a little bit of racing. Good thing about test and tune, I see a lot of cars in action in the area, what their mods are, how good they drive, and their times....

Wednesday night is the best time to go if you just want to make passes, but thats not all there is to life... just the scene is cool and halfway safe lol, it beats going to a bar, getting hammered, waisting a buncha money, then getting in trouble.

this wednesday i'll go if anyone else will. I let her drive my SHO and she doesn't even have the balls to wind it out in 1st LOL, thats the slowest gear hahaha.
