More leaking

I replaced the rod bearings and front main seal a while back. Well, it appears that the front main is leaking again...did I do something wrong? I followed all the directions. Pressed it in and everything. I have had the car parked for a couple months now and I can now see that the valve cover gasket is leaking badly. Oil is on the concrete beneath it and I can wipe oil off the back of it (closest to the firewall).

There could be a slight groove worn in the crankshaft. I think they make shim kits for this.

Valve covers should need just a little sealant in just a couple of spots. If they are leaking it's not properly installed.

yeah, the previous owner did the valve shims so that is probably the case.

yea its probably leaking near the camshaft seal. My valve cover gasket leaked near there. I just replaced the whole gasket and put some hi-temp RTV where the pinch-points are. I think the manual specifies where RTV should go. Havent had any problems except one of the valve cover bolts, but thats my fault. You really cant be conservative when your putting RTV on the valve cover bolts.

It's hard to tell what is dripping from where sometimes. Start with new valve cover gaskets. The oil pressure light switch and oil level switches can be sources of leaks too. The oil pump to block gasket can leak on the right side. If the FMS is leaking, try another brand. The OEM Ford seals are available. The cam seals can leak, especially that hard to reach rear one.
