Well I have been trying to follow the moonroof fix that we all have saved that is uploaded to angelfire, but I am using an actual window switch from my door in the donor car and was wondering a few things.

First of all, I had to dremel the "cage" completely out, as the window switch is MUCH larger than the Napa part in the step-by-step

On the rear of the window switch, there are 6 posts to solder the wires to, 4 or which are in a "copper" area on the rear of the switch. Which of these "posts" do I solder to? Can I just mirror the layout of the stock switch by using the outside 4 posts in the "copper area"? It appears that the black wire in the online writeup is soldered to the middle post of the Napa part, but on the stock switch the wires go to the corners.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

It looks like your trying to use one of the lighted 2nd gen window switches. The switch that "fits" is from a 1st gen.

Well I've dremeled the crap out of my cover, and now it will fit with a bit of epoxy. I guess I just need tips on the wiring part of it. Thanks for the reply!
