moon/ sun roof cover

Hi
I have a 1991 SHO plus that has a factory sunroof.
the sunroof switch pushed inside the cover.
How does the cover come off?
is it snapped on , I can't see any type of screws clips, that are visible
any help is appreciated

Pop the light lenses out(pry on the inner edge where the two meet) and you will see two screws holding the assembly up. Remove those two screws and then slide the entire assembly towards the rear of the car. There are two hooks that hold it up. Sliding it back will get the hooks off of the bracket. Once you do that it will just be attached by the power harness.

The button coming loose is a very common problem. You should be able to reattach it with some epoxy. I used regular JB weld. Stay away from the quick setting stuff. Some people just use screws through console. There is also a popular repair using the window switch from a Ford Contour. All of this info can be found by doing a few searches.
