I have a 95 MTX...

Are Moog CC858 & CC859 springs paired with KYB G2 struts a good match.

Will it be level front to back?

I don't want a real stiff ride or lowered because I drive it every day on bad roads.

I based my opinion as i have KYBs with intrax springs. :(

Not sure what the best combo is with Moogs, on Eibachs or Intrax would be Koni or Tokico but im sure these will also give you a stiff ride but without the pogo stick effect that KYBs give.

read thru the other recent posts in this section of the forum and youll find an answer youre looking for. not to seem rude, but with all the recent conversation, its not hard to find the information youre looking for.

I don't mean to be rude either :D but most of the posts are for performance setups and mixing of performance and stock.

I'm looking for the original ride and trying to save a little money (college budget), so I'm looking at the aftermarket replacements.

Anybody else done this and had good results or should I just go with OEM. shrug

I know most of you that read this are going for performance...I thought I would try and see if anybody had done something similar. An input is appreciated. Thanks thumb

I'll move back to the troubleshooting section. I do realize this is the performance section it seemed to have more discusion on the topic so I picked this one.

Thanks for the help Kenny, did you cut both your front and rear springs? Do you think that I will need to cut the fronts to get a level stance?

No problemo.

I cut one coil off the front.
The car sits with a VERY slight forward rake. VERY close to stock.

And as mentioned, many threads exist about the moog setup, and cutting the moog coils. thumb

Thanks for the help! :D

I think I'm going to go with the moog springs and the sensatrac struts. thumb

personally, I would go with the KYB GR2s if you are looking to stay stock with cargo coils.

I personally think that the KYB is a better strut than the sensatrac, and the KYB is backed by a lifetime warranty.

do keep in mind that alot of negative reviews come from people who improperly use the struts with modified coils or lowering springs.

for a near stock ride height that is a little nicer, the GR2/CC setup would be perfect...

The sensatracs DO have a lifetime warranty.

Lifetime warranty on the struts themselves.
As well as a 12 month warranty for labor.

And with the way they perform, warranty or no warranty, I plan on running them for a long, long time.

I got a set of BRAND NEW OEM motorcraft struts.

If not the KYBs are pretty cheap and should do well with out using lowering springs
