Does anyone know the Napa part number for the Moog Cargo Springs both for the rear and the front.

Since Moog doesn't have the springs specifically for the Sho model, I was told the the coil springs for the 95 Taurus LX is a perfect fit for the 93 Sho ATX! And this part number was given to me by Napa is 277-5318.

Does anyone know the correct part number, please post. Another part number given by JaySho97 didn't seem to match up...it was 2775216.

Well, the part number I have listed is the set of springs I have in my '89 SHO.

You could just go to the NapaOnline website and find the right springs for your car. After you get the part number, I would suggest trying to order the parts from a Local Store.

Dig, I may have found your problem.

When you go into the www.NapaOnline.com website, the listing for a '93 SHO is actually for a '93 Taurus WAGON.
The website is acting up on me right now so I cannot verify the springs I used. But I definitely know the springs from a wagon will not work on the sedan.

Steve, how much are they at RockAuto? I ordered my springs at a local Napa store and had them delivered (received next day) for about $72.
For some odd reason, the Online website charges more :D

Yeah Louis, and I checked your database out, then took the part numbers to a Napa store. They didn't match up. With the Napa springs the part numbers start with 277-????.

Is your part numbers from Napa?

no..... my part numbers are MOOG part numbers.... if your napa store can't cross a MOOG part number to a NAPA part number then they have issues....

in my database i've tried to stay away from store specific part numbers, because not all stores are in all areas....

according to napa....

gen1 springs:

front: 277-5235
rear: 277-5216

gen 2 springs

front: 277-5236
rear: 277-5318

just order the moogs from rockauto.... or any local company that sells moog... is what i would do

IIRC Gen 1 springs are a touch shorter and have a higher spring rate (stronger) than the Gen 2 springs

SHOYourYama:
Are these springs like stock? Or do they offer any suspension performance gains? Dop?
My Moogs seem much stiffer than stock, and, if anything, will INCREASE ride height in the rear due to the old ones getting saggy and broken.

Strange.... You order Eibachs or Intrax, and they are the same for GenI and II. You order the Moogs, and they have two diff. sets of rear springs. shrug I thought they were all the same. Oh well.

you are correct in that tokico and eibach both list the same parts 89-95

OE, however, there was a difference, and that difference is reflected in the OE replacemtn parts which moog is.

As for the springs, the spring rate and height varied a little from one generation to the other, i'm guessing to smooth out the ride a little on the later model cars. As for the struts, i'm not sure exactly what the difference is, but they are definetely different part numbers, even ford part numbers.

I would imagine you could use either with no issue, but there was originally a difference even if it was a small one

I couln't find any listing for springs at rockauto.

Hey Dig....any reason you don't want to buy the eibachs or intrax?

for the MOOG part numbers (the ones you'd need at rockauto) look in the parts database which is linked in my signature

Moog P/N CC858 and CC859, $41.89 and $52.79 per pair at RockAuto. That's the cheapest I've seen them and like Louis said, if the NAPA counter monkey can't cross it to the equivalent NCP number, go elsewhere...

One thing to remember about RockAuto....they charge for shipping by the pound(or size, whatever).

I paid around $70 for my set of springs, and had them the next day by ordering right from the local Napa.

Jay, do you have any pix of the Moogs/KYBs installed for other members to see? The question often comes up as to how the ride height is compared to worn-out stock, new stock, Eibachs, Intrax, or Moogs. It would be nice to have a reference photo for the Moogs.

Let me look around. I'll post back when I find one.
*edit*

Ok.
Here is one of the better pics of how it sits with the Moog rear coils and KYB rear struts. For some reason, the right side sits maybe .25" higher than the left side. I think I may have gotten a defective strut mount kit, as it clunks and bangs over bumps(taken it apart 2 times already, same outcome).

Just so you can judge, this is with Kumho Ectsa 712's in 225/55/VR16 size on GenIII rims. Looking at the car from the side, you can just about almost see the top of the tire tread.

Well, I think I am for the Moogs in the rear because it'll elevate the rear. Yeah, the performance tech says lowering is better, but. I personally like the Sho to look higher in the back. It's an aesthetics of it. I mean, I want to be able to at least be able to see over/aroung the sedan in front of me.

My struts will be either KYB or the Sensa-Trac...probably KYB!

And yeah, I'll go to another Napa store with the part numbers supplied here. Thanks!!! :)
