Went to the Montreal Auto Show, and not only was there no SHO on display, but no Taurus models at all.

I know it is not the first time the Taurus nameplate has been abandoned, but it seems kind of harsh to ignore a model that has the best chance of advancing in an expanding economy.
If you are profit taking from your portfolio, I don't think you will be directing that at a Fusion.

The Taurus is Chicago built, and is expected to be gone from the US consumer market soon, might be two reasons why. What other lines did have on display, sperold?

Everything else was there, and of course, big emphasis on the F150. And the usual emphasis on anything hybrid. The Ford GT supercar, which is made in Canada, was not there.

The entire show reminded me of the mood after the crash of 2008. The companies have backed away from the glamor girls, and not alot of carrying bags and brochurs were handed out.

Lincoln had a good display, with their emphasis on the Continental. Which to my surprise has a base price of $57,000 in Canada, which compared very favorably with other high end brands.

Well, that's somber alright! So much for a break from "reality"!

Thursday I attended the Harrisburg PA auto show. No SHOs but there was a Taurus. No Lincoln's though and that's really what I was looking forward to seeing. Ford employees stated the Flex is gone after this year. Coming out are 5 new models to include the Bronco and Ranger.

At the Detroit show there was a SHO displayed. Ford had the most impressive display at the show. Of course Mustang and the GT. They had the winning GT from LeMans on display - complete with all the grime from the race rather than clean it off.

Lincoln was moved to a different location from before. It always used to be right next to Ford, but they were down where the Cadillac, Lexus, and Infiniti display was. Lincoln hasn't changed the Detroit display for some time. It is nice, but it is the same one they have used for the last 4 or 5 years.
