Hey guys, I am in the process of doing the suspention on my 94 mtx. I pulled the menroes and eibachs from my 92 and had the struts and plates all warrentied so all of that is new. Now, the front springs look to be in good shape and handled well when in the 92, but the rears are cracked on the very bottom. The crack runs for about 3 inches from the end of the spring in.

I have decided i probably shouldnt use these springs anymore, and i am wondering, if i were to buy a pair of rear cargo coils would i be ok to put those in the rear with the eibachs in the front??? Struts are menroe sensa tracs. Thanks!

PS: I did find that the eibachs have a million mile warrenty on them, but they came on the 92 when i bought it.

It might handle a bit funny.....****, with new springs in the rear and older springs up front, there's a good chance of snap oversteer.....

i would think it would be ok. iam not sure the diff. spring rates if it would cause anything to big of a difference. you would feel the back kinda move around alittle different then the frontend.

it would just handle differently based on the springrates.... that is quite simply all

every different spring manufactuer has different rates for every application.... I don't think there is a magic spring rate that just makes your car handle perfectly... look at how many different types of springs you can acquire for a Taurus, even different stock ones,... none of them are identical.. but there are people who like almost all of them

even guys with the coilovers on their SHO's experiment with different spring rates....

think about it

it might handle better then using all 4 eibach springs, its really going to matter how you drive and what type of swaybars your running to give you the end result....
