Hello,
I just did a heater core on my 91. I have everything rewired, and I have been driving the car. However there is a black/brown wire that is run under the steering column towards the airbag. It is a single wire with a one prong connector. Anyone know what this could be? The car it running fine with no lights, so it must be something non essential. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Sorry about the no pic. It appears to go to right under the ignition switch. Maybe its a ground. I think I have it hooked up right now. I took apart my 92 for reference. I will take a pic in a bit to see if anyone knows what its purpose is.

Thanks,

Devin

It's the key sensor. It should have a little plastic molding on one end with a metal tang. That then clips onto the cylinder housing.
