missing badge?

i have an 89 and on the passenger side, right above the glove box(in between the two air vents) it looks like there was once a badge of some kind. Am I just going crazy or should there be something there?

NOPE, nothing was in there, just th eplain looking vent type thing that serves no purpose.

heres what it should look like, only with out the 3rd Gen SHO logo..
