Ive had this 95 SHO for a couple of months and still learning my way around it. Its had a annoying low rpm part throttle misfire. No codes, cylinder balance test passes (9) too.

I figured must be old plugs in the rear bank. Put in autolite 3294pp set but no help. The plug wires are new looking Accel 7mm super stock spiral core and ohm out between 1k and 2k. I figure they should be ok. Checked the DIS at AutoZone. Failed. Made them check the new one, it passed so $120 later same problem.

Now Im down to wires or coil. Since its Sunday I grab a cheap $40 set of PepBoys 7mm carbon wires and, presto, no more misfire!. Its like a different car!
.
So whats the deal with Accel wires. They were on the car when I bought it so I dont know for sure how old they are but the Denso Iridium plugs I pulled were still in good shape and it seems to me someone probably replaced plugs and wires at the same time.
.
Im wondering if there might be some sort of interference caused by metal core wires. Isnt the OEM Motocraft set carbon core?
