There is a symptom for mirror memory not working from button. If the passenger side works, network messages sound good. Ode go after door module circuits, and the mirror. The door module uses position sensors in the mirror motor to figure it' position. Then the door module moves the mirror to the c rect spot recalled in the door modules memory. I don' know if the door module will give up if it can' get there. I know it will ratchet the motors if it can' get to a position near full top, bottom and sides.

I went through the troubleshooting/repair guide in the Workshop manual, its 30+pages long and there is a note stating that skills are required... I also do not have the tools they list to use.
As stated in the manual, the signal is interrupted if certain amps are exceeded.
So it can be the memory module under the seat, the one in the door or the mirror itself.... since I cannot follow the guide I'll have to wait till I find a donor car and swap parts one at a time.

I banged my passenger side mirror backing out of the garage and in the process the mirror popped loose and the black plastic cover on the bottom of the mirror popped off. Both popped right back into place with no damage. So at least they don't use brittle plastic.
