Mirror Memory Function

Got a 2010 SHO not too long ago, I recently noticed that the memory function is not working on both mirrors, seat (all directions) and pedals do work.
I recently did a battery reset attempting to get rid of other bugs, didn't fix that.
Thoughts?

Per the owner's manual, 3rd edition:

"Memory feature (if equipped) The accelerator and brake pedal positions are saved when doing a memory set function and can be recalled along with the vehicle personality features when a memory position is selected through the remote entry transmitter, keyless entry keypad or memory switch on the driver’s door (if equipped with memory feature)."

It looks like the mirrors don't adjust with the memory switch.

The integrated keyhead transmitter (IKT) or intelligent access key allows
you to recall the memory seat/power mirrors/adjustable pedals feature.
Press to automatically move the driver seat, power mirrors and
adjustable pedals to the desired memory position. The mirrors will move
to the programmed position and the seat will move to the easy entry
position. The seat will move to the final position when the key is in the
ignition (if easy entry feature is enabled).
Programming memory feature to transmitter
To activate this feature:
1. Move the driver seat, power mirrors, and adjustable pedals to the
desired positions using the associated controls.

I want to believe that if equipped with memory seats an d pedals, it would also be equipped with memory mirrors.

All three should work together. But easy exit and entry may make it apear that the seat and steering wheel are working, but the mirrors are not. Move everything to a stupid position that is obvious if it recalls the function.

Make sure you program your fob to the correct memory seat selection. I had for a while "key 2" programmd to seat memory 1 and vice versa... kinda frustrating untill I programmd the fobs corectly.

I have no intention of programming the memory function to the FOBs, I did that with my Pathfinder and as you said, it was a pain every time you grabbed the wrong FOB. I posted that section just to show that the manual does refer to this functionality.
I have the easy entry/exit disabled and my SHO has manual steering wheel column adjustment.

All I want is the mirrors to go back to my settings whenever I press "1" on the driver's seat. One of the top items on my "must have accessories" when I went car shopping was the memory function and sure enough I trusted all was working well...

So you set the mirrors. Hear a beep. Move the mirrors and driver seat Willy nilly, press one and the seat moves not the mirrors?

So I press and hold "1" after everything is where I want it, hear a beep... my daughter drives the car.... I go back, press "1", seat slides, seat lowers, seat reclines, pedals move.... that's it, mirrors don't go back the where I had them.

Though I have not run an exhaustive check recently, I believe that my 2010 mirrors also do not move when I press the seat buttons (1 or 2).
I assumed long ago that it was a misprint in the user manual.

WSM notes the memory mirrors should work with the seat button. I' not aware of a sho car not having it, but it is a possbility.

The memory module recently went bad on mine. The symptom for me was that I would randomly find the passenger mirror pointing to the sky.
Yes, the memory settings adjust the seat, pedals, and mirrors.
I should note that my local Ford dealer hadn't seen this issue and had to call Ford for assistance, ha. They thought only the Lincoln's had this feature....

My bad! I just tested my mirrors, seat and pedals. Both outside mirrors should reset. Unfortunately my driver's side apparently does not function correctly. I did have it worked on under warranty some years ago for a BLS issue. I don't know if it ever worked properly though.

It does move a bit when I set it way out of alignment, but just a bit. And a bit more each time I press the button. The remote adjust works fine. So, it only seems to be the signal for the memory function that is not completing. Maybe a poor connection in there?

Anyone know anything about the circuit, parts or how to test or disassemble one of these?
It sounds like the OP and myself both have a problem.

I believe the drivers seat module sends a networked message to the door modules. The door modules store the mirror location and recall it upon request.

Found this part but not sure if it also controls the mirrors... gonna take a look at the connectors, maybe I'm lucky and one is lose.

Quick update.
I haven't had much time to work on my SHO, other projects are consuming all of my time so haven't looked into replacing the module.

I noticed that the driver's mirror is now moving a bit whenever I press the memory button, so mirrors first, seat back second, seat down third and last is pedals.
It does not fully go back to the position that should be stored in the memory module but it does move... this makes me wonder if the issue is the module or the mirror. I haven't paid much attention to the passenger mirror but it appears to be working, unless my daughter's setting is the same as mine.
How hard is it to remove the mirror glass (without braking it)? I'd like to lubricate the mechanism to see if that helps.

As I noted on post 12, my driver's mirror also moves a tiny bit most times when I press the button. My pass mirror seems to work fine. Hmmm....
We both are looking for the same info. I doubt it is a "lubrication" issue though, as it works fine from the remote mirror adjustment mechanism.

I am under the impression that the mirror sort of "pops out", but not sure the best way to try that.

This morning I confirmed that the passenger side is now working fine, none worked when I started the thread so it might have been that the PO didn't use that function and the gremlins were asleep... so yes, we are on the same boat.
The pics on that thread were photobucket'd (my term to describe Photobucket f%&#$ up millions of great posts) so no, I cannot see them.
I read somewhere that you want to point the mirror up and then pry the bottom first while being prepared to catch it as it can fly out... but with my luck I might break it.
