Those bushings arn't usually replaced in the LCA. The come brand new in a new LCA and that is usually the only time that they are replaced, being when they come with a new LCA.

Doug, I guess SHOnut has ran out of them. He is showing that he just has the bushings, no more LCA's. I also went to AutoZone and they only have the bushings.

dstig1, I will email SHOnut and see if the ones I bought are two piece. I hope so because I really don't want to find a press. The Ford manual shows some sort of modified C-clamp that you use.

You can get "greaseable" (as in the ball joint is greaseable) LCA's from russ at RCM automotive. He also sells TPR bushings for the control arms. I bought new LCA's ripped the new bushing out (the one in the middle of the arm) and put new 2 piece tpr bushings in. The bushing that connects the arm to the subframe is not replaceable.

Do NOT buy them, believe me! Those things suck and I feel much safer cornering with my worn out struts and springs. Comparing Moog CC's w/KYB's to real performance struts and springs is like comparing night and day. I don't care what anyone else says or swears about their Moog CC's/[insert non-performance strut here] setup, they need to experience with Eibachs, Intrax, Tokicos, or Konis before coming to a conclusion.

Anyhow, my 89 SHO with CC/KYB's is more harsh than the one with Intrax/Tokicos, and it was like that with the worn out suspension before, too.

Nobody was comparing the KYB/CC combo as a performance setup that I noticed. I went from original 150k mile suspension to this setup and I love the KYB/CC setup compared to what the original used to be. I have regained control over my SHO, that I didn't have with the worn out suspension before. Of course they arn't a performance setup, however, they are an improvement over 10+ year old suspension. Their are several members here that have the same setup, some with the Monore struts, and they enjoy the setup also.

I don't need experience with another setup to come to the conclusion that I like my setup and that it is an improvement over the completely worn out suspension that was in it before. That is a absurd. However, I have ridden in a Tokicio/Ebiach equipped SHO, I liked it, sure. However, for budget reasons I couldn't do that. But, I am satisfied with my setup and it is an improvement over what was there previous. You can't totally negate another persons opinion just because you personally don't agree.

I don't think so. Many people run them (unmodified) with lowered cars.

LCA's are (or at least were) available from aftermarket readily. I got mine from Checker - www.cskauto.com - last summer when I redid a bunch of my front suspension after the alignment folks said my tie rod ends were bad and the ball joints not far behind. I believe the Ford parts are both obsolete, or at least one side is.

Just get new ones and you get new ball joints, which are probably more important than the rubber bushing.

There they are! crap! I guess I will see if SHOnut will let me return the bushings. If not, I guess I will just replace the bushings.

That wasn't the point of my post, all of the people who say how good they are make others in the market end up buying them when they're looking for performance results. Josh was wanting something performance orientated and was thinking of buying the CC/KYB's because someone said they ride firm. All I was trying to do is tell him they're nothing on that level and are only good for stock replacement. I was one who "thought" they were firmer than stock, but that was a bunch of BS and waste of money.

What make struts come stock on the Gen II SHO? Anyone know?

Sachs was the OEM supplier for the SHO struts.
