@91hybrid,

There honestly is no need for the hostility. The OP never brought you nor your car into this conversation. I know that having a 4400# sedan that is a pro-mod car is amazing. If you would like to help in the conversation at hand, please do. If not, why bother? Mind you, this thread has NOTHING to do with racing.

The OP and a few others need help, and that is what everyone here has been trying to do...HELP. I am a fairly easy-going guy that is trying to help everyone that I can, you can ask anyone on any forum that I am on for us. I do not only help our clients, I help Diablo guys, Torrie's Unleashed guys, MPT, 5*, SCT guys and the like...without prejudice nor preference. Even members that have other vested interests like @SHOdded and I get along fine, so what are you trying to achieve here? What do you gain by bashing us?

Nobody ever lessened your perceived achievement. You ran 11.9, congrats. BUT, there are still over 3 tenths of a second between you and us. So keep going, try harder, mod more and try to go faster. We, just like everyone else hope that you do. Good Luck!

Thanks. You are right, this has nothing to do about this OP's post; look back, I asked you to comment in my thread.

Have a good day and good luck to you as well.

Friendly note: I am the admin for ecoboostperformance.com forum, but otherwise have no vested interests. If anything, my interest is limited solely to learning and helping fellow SHO/EB fans. :D I DO like helping people put giant holes in their wallets and initiating fisticuffs with their spouses/SOs when it comes to mods :nut:

HEY! I have a new question and topic to get things fun again here!!.... Why is it that a tuner "Bisimoto Engineering," can get a 2.3 Ecoboost 4-banger to 900 HP but no one can apparently take the bigger version (3.5 V6) to even get close to 700???

Is that 900 crank or wheel HP? The 2.3 is a CGI block, the current 3.5 is "older" tech, possibly not as sturdy. The 3.5EB can reliably make 800 crank hp all day long, but doesn't yet have a drivetrain capable of handling it. The 2.3 is not mated to AWD. Gives it a lot more options drivetrain-wise for power handling. IMHO.

900 at the crank.

Short article:
Bisimoto engineering didn’t just crank up the power of the 310-hp, 2.3-liter EcoBoost turbo-four. They nearly tripled it for their high-octane, 900-hp BisiBoost Mustang EcoBoost for SEMA, including 14 new engine and chassis parts designed in-house.

The 900-hp four-cylinder turbo gets its muscle from a host of serious upgrades. Bisimoto added AEM electronics like a new ECU with boost controller, flex fuel sensor, and fuel pressure regulator; forged billet pistons; Five O Motorsport fuel injectors; Golden Eagle cylinder sleeves, fuel rail, and air intake; MagnaFuel fuel pump; NGK Iridium spark plugs; custom head work; a Turbonetics turbo with an internal wastegate and blow-off valve; a Spearco intercooler, and more. Bisimoto’s own design team built a Web Level 2.4 camshaft, custom exhaust, 360-degree oil cap, steel rods, intake heat shielding gasket, and more.

To handle all the extra grunt is a big BuddyClub four-piston brake kit, KW INOX V3 coilover suspension, Progress Technology performance sway bar set, 19-inch wheels, and Toyo R888 tires. Inside is a full Watson Racing roll cage, data logger, Momo racing seats, and Gulstrand Engineering racing harness. The exterior gets a custom body from Airdesign USA, along with a vinyl and powder-coat paint for a blacked-out look.

That is a multi-tiered answer.

1. The 2.3L is not simply a ported over and slightly modified NA motor from a non-power adder car. The 3.7L Cyclone engine was never meant to be made into a twin turbo motor. On the other hand...the relative architecture of the MazdaSpeed 3 engine was designed to be able to handle boost. That is just the power of the foreign tuner market.

2. If you can do the math you have the answer:
Upm4Y

3. There is far more aftermarket support and capabilities available to the Mustang. The transverse engine platform reaches his limitations far sooner than the 3.5L.

4. Standalone controls are a must at that point. That makes it a racecar...

Interesting they did not do any drivetrain work. Is the drivetrain capable of handling that much power, or do they have to put in an HD driveshaft/gearsets?
