I don't think I've spent as much time really getting into the numbers as you've have but I think twin anything from gt2871r's to gt3076r's would be great for big power. The gt2871r turbos are run a lot on similar applications. (fwiw: audi 2.7l bi-turbo, 300zx tt, porsche's)

If I could do it right now twin gt30r all the way, check out the compressor map and tell me what you think?
You wanna be a tad left of the highest efficiency island so as you spool up you spool into it.

It's really a battle of retaining to engine's nice turbo quattro belt, just to retain to fun factor of the Yamaha.

gotta love those German designed cars, I bought a vw rabbit. It had a valve sticking right into the piston when i bought it, I put the piston in while it was in the car and a new used head. When I got it running tuned up the 2bbl carb shined up the headers, and fixed the bent hub, went to drive it and the clutch was burnt up. oh well see what I get for buying a 100.00 dollar car.

It is a custom intake that the XR4ti guys fabbed up, that car rolled through Ebay during the summer last year and I found some info on the intakes and someone made a few of those intakes for the the couple SHO swaps that happened apparently.

The orange car is the same, one with a Stock intake and the other with the Custom one.

everything looks great !! one question though... does the SHO engine come with a pilot bearing from the factory and if so where can i find one???
