I've seen many people state they are running theyre 80mm MAF on their stock airbox but I couldn't find a post that described how to when I searched. If any could let me know and/or post some pics, I'd be VERY thankful! :swing:

There is an adapter plate that bolts to the backside and allows for use of the stock airbox. I think Jost at SHONUT Performance still sells them.

Not sure if this a painted Mark MAF but it is essentially the same set up. You have an adapter plate bolted on to the MAF toward the airbox, a small piece of hose from that clamped to the airbox outlet.
When I had my GenI, I think I found a correct sized piece of rubber tubing at Home Depot in the plumbing section. Clamped it all together. I wouldn't waste my time and money on that modification again.

If you want I have a picture of one installed on my 94 with the stock airbox. I wanted to keep it looking stock and so I made my own adapter from an old stainless steel drain and then used the stock rubber from the box to the throttle body. The tubing will need to be stretched to fit, but it will work, and look stock at that too. I personally like the stock look and it is cheaper if you already have a K&N and stock box on it. The entire intake cost me $4.

Also, if you buy the mustang 3.8l maf adapter you can modify that a small bit to fit into the stock box as well.

You dont need an adapter it the MAF is machined. Coupled with a rubber sewer drain fitting, and one PVC fitting.

This is how I did it. And unless you KNOW what you are looking for, it looks like a stock unit.
