Stage 1 Cams to make the most of the EH Intake and BBB. Instead of stainless for the y-pipe, Jet-Hot coat steel y-pipe. Last as long keeps the heat and exhaust velocity up.

The cams will be installed as soon as shobros releases a final tried & true set to the public.

The stainless y-pipe was something that I already had, so no use getting rid of it now.

Are there any simple things that I'm missing.

I have and/or will get the small essentials, loctite, rtv, fresh oil change, radiator flush, etc..

I need people to speak up about things like, when you do the brake change, replace the copper crush washers. I already have that on my list, but it is something that could easily be overlooked.

let me know :)

Um....got Quaife??

Also with all the work you're doing, I would consider a 3.2 swap at the same time. It's not that much more $ for a shortblock.

Actually I do, however it is going into another SHO build-up. I have another sho that I'm waiting to repaint with a new engine and a supercharger. However that car has been sitting at my shop for the past couple of years under a car cover.

The SHO in this thread is gonna be my daily driver. The only reason I'm going with a few bolt on's is because most of the stuff I have as extras laying around. Such as with the Extruded intake / bbb's / 80mm maf / y pipe, etc.. I have duplicates of these, so might as well put them to good use.

I really don't feel like diving into a 3.2 at the moment. With the constant work of running a business and trying to find some spare time just to get this car done, I have to find a happy medium.

I'm pretty pleased with this list of goodies. I think it is going to make for a very reliable, safe, and fun to drive SHO.

Alright... I have several more questions related to the cooling system.

I figure that since I'm in here doing all this work, why not replace all of the cooling hoses.

So I was shopping rockauto.com and they sho 1.2 billion different hoses for the SHO. Some are cut to length, some are molded, however most of them on rockauto don't show pictures.

On rockauto.com under ford - 1992 - Taurus sho - 3.0 - cooling system -

they show

1. by pass hose - gates # 18775 & dayco # 87653

2. coolant hose - ACdelco # 14097S & ACdelco # 14228S & ACdelco # 14001S & ACdelco # 16051M & ACdelco # 14005S & ACdelco # 14095S & ACdelco # 14080S & & ACdelco # 14006S

3. radiator lower hose - & ACdelco # 22460M (Molded Hose)

4. radiator upper hose - & ACdelco # 22108M (Formable Hose)

How do I know exactly what to buy. I really don't want to head outside in the shop and try to measure the diameter and length of each piece of rubber.

I'm not too pleased with buying a formable hose. I don't like they way they look installed on a car. They look generic, I'd rather have a true upper "molded" hose.

I know that fastpartsnetwork.com has the genuine motorcraft hoses. But I don't think they have ALL of the hoses to do the full engine.

Does anyone offer a cooling hose kit for the SHO?

Please let me know what my options are.

thanks in advance.
