Your gonna sell it and get what? Somthing eles that your gonna have to fix. Don't say your gonna get a Honda with over 100k on the clock and it will never break down. EVERYTHING will need fixed some time, and the money you loose selling your car and buying another (and you will loose money) you could just fix yours now. Do like everyone says, buy a book for the car, get some tools (and some Mechanix gloves), and tear into it. If you don't think you can do it, get a friend that knows what there are doing to help for a while. You CAN fix it, and you can fix it cheap! I just got done doing my struts, tie rod ends, tie links, and rear brakes (including a new caliper and mounting bracket) for a grand total of: $300 and my time.

Maybe you should have set aside repair money instead of all the perf. mods. If you don't have money to fix than don't mod. Just a word to the wise.

I'd just like to say, I didn't add any mods except a Memphis 400 watt amp and the Flowmasters..

The previous owner beat the **** out of the car then sold it to me for very cheap becuase he wanted to get rid of it before it started doing stuff like this.

I can tell most of you think im a ***** in making this decision, but it's the way it is. I'm just posting here becuase I'd like to sell the car to an SHO enthusiast.

thanks.

The oil seal is likely to leak in the front, a somewhat difficult job for the inexperienced, but not even close the difficulties & involvement with the rear seal replacement. the GOOD NEWS is its highly unlikely the rear seal leaks. The oil pan is leaking and it is not so difficult to fix yourself if the rules are followed. Fix the pan. plan the frt seal repair soon after. A higher authority has made this rear seal fact clear.

Listen, I am in a very similar situation. I have a 93MTX that the previous owner ran the crap out of. I mean he blew the engine at 80K! It now has 195K and I love it to death. Don't you love being able to pull up to a Honda or Toyota and Smoke them every time in a 4 door sedan??? I know I do and that's what keeps me putting money into my SHO. Im only 17, and I've put over 4 grand into my SHO, (none of it was mods, all of it was maintenance and things that were leaking or broke) but I'm not even going to stop there. Just reading this forum has given me the confidence to keep going. Don't give up. Your car is one of a kind, don't let it go. Fix it. You can do it. I mean If I can do an A/C system, you can certainly fix an oil leak. Don't give up. You'll thank yourself for it later

Any possibility you want to trade for a different white 91 and a black parts 91 so that you can fix any further problems?

Dude, nobody thinks you're a *****! Look, I'm twice your age and have a 91 myself. I NEVER did my own work, EVER! I didn't know a box wrench from a box of cookies! I'm no mechanic by any stretch now, but I will do my own maintanence when I can. Nothing feels better than the pride you get when a repair is done and you say "I did it myself!"

If I had a dollar for all of the $hitbox cars I've sold rather than fixed, I'd be Bill Gates.
Seriously, for what you sell the car for, you'll end up with another clunker. I've been there, done that, and bought the T-shirt.

I sold a Camaro with all the goodies; super wide tires on cragar ss mags, cowl hood, whale tail off of a Porsche 911 (Yes, and it WAS cool!) for like $500 when I was your age because the tranny crapped and went to bed. Like you, I sank in $$ after $$ and had enough. Do you know what happened? Someone came cash in hand, crawled underneath it and in under 5 minutes DROVE AWAY! Dude, I was so upset, I wanted to PUKE!

If you sell the car now, you won't get squat for it. An enthusiest will find it, see a kid hard up for $$$ and basically steal it from you.
