my problem.i have a 95 atx.it sat for 9 months and had drained the battery.i replaced the battery reset all the perimeter's.I have a stumbling problem,ran the codes and fixed the egr and its support electronics,replaced the maf,idle air control,so its still having problems and not throwing any codes.in the morning it starts and stalls if i keep the od off it sometimes continues running.if its hot it will start surging enough that you need to be on your toes or you''ll hit the car in front of you.sometimes while driving down the freeway it acts like it kicked down but missed and the transmission for a moment is out of gear,engine races and then catches.it almost feels like its not getting fuel for a split second.any help would be great this one has me stumped:oogle:

Did you clean the nostrils? pull the EGR off, clean the passages out with a coat hanger and your favorite cleaning agent.. I am sure someone else will tell you I am wrong, but your new sensors lead me to think it's a mechanical issue...
just a thought....:) does your tach act up? maybe cps??

Yes i cleaned the intake completely,and the only time the tach does anything different is when it momentarily shifts like its changing gears.

your symptoms sounds pretty close to mine when my vss went bad i just changed it 2 days ago and it made a world of difference the tranny was acting just like yours.

a good way to know if it probally is, is when you floor it from a stop it will shift early like at around 3800ish rpm no where close to redline so it sounds like your vss could be bad.

Now as for your engine stunbling the only thing i can think would be just basic maintence like plugs, plug wires, fuel filter you get the idea.

If that stuff hasn't be replaced in awhile i would ck there or even if the plug wires have been replaced recently look and make sure there not rubbing on anything that could cause the insulation the wear away and may the plug arc.

A really good way to ck to see if plug wires are bad is take a spray bottle and spray the wires when it's at idle and see if the engine misses when the plugs wires are wet.

Maybe disconnect the tps, and see if it clears the stumble.. Mine surged badly till I changed the maf.... But that apparently is not your problem. :oogle:
