Within the last week I purchased a 93 ATX SHO. I have a MAF sensor on the snorkel filter. However, it was used for my 89 SHO. Do I need to recalibrate the filter for the 3.2 ATX or can I let it be? If it need to be calibrated how do I do that. I purchased the 89 with the MAF on it so I haven't a clue.

You will probably have to provide more detailed information to get any meaningful responses to this question. All year and transmission SHOs came with a 55mm mass air flow sensor body and the attached electronics. There are several larger internal diameter MAF bodies that can use the original electronics. There are also some larger MAFs that came with their own electronics and requried an EPROM chip on the EEC to accomodate them. You will need to specify the size and brand of the MAF body and electronics to get a good answer to your question.

Ok, I just went to look at the MAF. These are the results. It is a Pro Flow. Model # PFT-77 Serial # 950379. It also says it is calibrated for a SHO. My 89 did have a chip on the EEC. The chip is from the SHO shop. So I'm assuming this thing was calibrated for the chip. If this is the case I shouldn't use the MAF on my 93?

Actually, it should just drop right in to your 93. The Pro-Flow MAF is made to work without computer changes. Plug it in (unplug the battery first!) and let the computer discharge its memory (I usually give it a few hours or overnight just to be sure). Start it up, let it learn its idle, and then take it through its ENTIRE performance range (read: WOT events) Good Luck!
