Right after startup usually, after its been sitting for a few hours, my rear wheels or something in that area of the car start to make a rubbing type low squeek. It squeeks in a pattern, the faster I go the faster they squeek in sequence, and when i'm just backing out of the garage slow they are slow and drawn out. I don't really know it would be, anyone else have any ideas?

my 95 makes sort of a moaning noise..maybe you could call it a squeek...but it's very obvious at low speeds right after i start driving and the car has sat for some time...

i'd like to know what it is too

hmmm sounds like a mystery here
but yeah, after about 30 secs of driving the sound goes away but it's becoming annoying. My car is going in for a big fix soon (half shaft, 3 wheel bearings, alternator) so I guess i'll just have em check that out too.

I had some squeaking noise coming from my front brakes before. I changed the pads, I put different shims on, took them off, put anti-squeal stuff on the pads and nothing worked. Then I changed the rotors and it went away.

update: I would now agree with shoteen and say it's more a low moan then a squeek
getting worse too, i'll tell what it's all about when my auto gets looked at

My 95 does it as well. Nobody that's looked at it can figure out where it's coming from...more or less gave up, now I just make sure the radio drowns it out..

i just posted about the same topic, it turned out the caliper was sticking and dug some nice grooves into the rotor.

check for extra brake dust on the rim, thats what gave it away for me

Is the car sitting with the parking brake on? If so, it might take it a few seconds..minutes to fully release.

naw it's not the parking brake, i'm going to check on the rotors in about 5 mins but I cleaned my wheels yesterday and I didn't see any excessive brake dust. all will be well tomm though.
