Let's hope so-chain not belt. ---And you might as well do a s-ton of other stuff if you actually do have to remove the chain. Like whole timing set and waterpump.I'm hoping the 1st one doesn't mean it's time for a timing belt change and it's just a sensor. I'm at 122k miles. 2013 PP, zero mods
Well from having my interceptors done and my F-150 Ecoboost it was $1,900 of joyous pain.Yeah, as Majestic suggested, there is a discernable rattle on cold start, so it's probably the timing chain ..... Oh joy
Was that $1900 parts AND labor or just parts and you did the work yourself?Well from having my interceptors done and my F-150 Ecoboost it was $1,900 of joyous pain.
No I left it to the dealer,, didn't have time to do myself, but you do get a 3yr 36,000 mile warranty if they do the work. Was that $1900 parts AND labor or just parts and you did the work yourself?
Wow, $1900 is reasonable. I've been seeing quotes for like $4-4.5KNo I left it to the dealer,, didn't have time to do myself, but you do get a 3yr 36,000 mile warranty if they do the work.
Parts are cheap, but a real pain because of location. I would have done them myself but I'm getting old and my hands are tired. Price has probably gone up because of inflation. What saved both my engines was the pump did what it was supposed to do and leaked out the weep hole.Wow, $1900 is reasonable. I've been seeing quotes for like $4-4.5K![]()
