In tank, see attached from new bucket.Are those like the ones on the evap (purge valve) up front behind the engine? One clip is a safety (pull up) then push in the others to release?

Thanks Jordan, one item I need to try is less than a 1/3 tank. That video @Bronco2fan shared definately shows Ford f'd the serviceability with little room. The hose for that connector is in the way. So lifting it out becomes nearly impossible, without risking breaking the float arm not knowing what it might be near in the tank.You can twist and finagle it up about 3" out of the tank then undo that fitting. It's a pain in the ass but it has a bit of movement room that you can abuse

Yeah I agree - check that 4 min video bronco2 shared its the closest to the issue. See I got to 1pm and it became unbearable - i spent too long figuring it out.if I didn't have a full tank myself I'd take mine out to show you on film.
