Low pressure fuel pump bucket removal....

Got the bucket loose can't figure out how to disconnect in bucket fuel hose see pic

Are those like the ones on the evap (purge valve) up front behind the engine? One clip is a safety (pull up) then push in the others to release?

Well I put it all back together. Would love to know how others managed to pinch that clip and push that connector off with sausage fingers.. wish fortheworkshop.com wasn't down. Shame.

You can twist and finagle it up about 3" out of the tank then undo that fitting. It's a pain in the ass but it has a bit of movement room that you can abuse

Thanks Jordan, one item I need to try is less than a 1/3 tank. That video @Bronco2fan shared definately shows Ford f'd the serviceability with little room. The hose for that connector is in the way. So lifting it out becomes nearly impossible, without risking breaking the float arm not knowing what it might be near in the tank.

if I didn't have a full tank myself I'd take mine out to show you on film. There is a trick to it just hard to verbalize it over showing it.

Yeah I agree - check that 4 min video bronco2 shared its the closest to the issue. See I got to 1pm and it became unbearable - i spent too long figuring it out.

I will reattempt. I want that Deatschwerks pump in there. By 11am to noon I was hoping to be finished. It was super unbearable the feels like was 110, had to pack it in.

Hey do have a question regarding releasing the pressure from the line to the lpfp. So the shop manual says to disconnect the FP regulator and run the engine till it stalls, however shows a disconnect line under the hood to release the pressure. WTH is the manual referring to? Is it the line to the HPFP? Having a hard time placing the location.
