low fuel pressure

hi guys.i had a guy test my fuel pressure and said win you hit the gas the fuel pressure drops to about 20 psi.now before he tested it.i changed the fuel pump and sending unit,and the fuel filter.far as i know the ONLY part on this car that has anything to do with fuel pressure is the Fuel Pressure Regulator.can some one tell me if i'm right or what i m missing please.

i am currently having this same problem, if you didnt change the regulator i would do that. if you do it right you will not have to take the intake off. what pump did you buy? some pumps although they say they will work on your car dont produce the pressure and volume needed for that car.

you should also be able to test your regulator by taking the vaccum hose off and look for a change in idle. pressure should go to 40psi or full pressure with the hose removed. if it does not its probably a faulty regulator.

sho fuel pressure is supposed to be 30-45 PSI(Pounds per Square Inch) here is how to check it.Install a fuel pressure gauge on the fuel rail
assembly diagnostic valve, and attach an electrical
jumper wire to the fuel pump testing vip terminal
pin, and the other end to a suitable ground. Verify
verify that no leaks are present, and with the
ignition key in the on position, energize the fuel
pump. This will bring the system to a stabilized
fuel pressure that can be visually verified on the
gauge.

i bought the fuel pump form rcm automotive online.the car sit for a while 2 or 3 months with the motor out.i think cause no fuel in the rails and air in the Fuel Pressure Regulator might have caused it to rust in side it or something like that.at any rate i"v removed it so win i put it back togather i"ll update u guys on what i find.thank you
