I replaced the clutch in the track car With a stock replacement about 3,000 Miles ago. It's holding up great - No complaints! However, Since taking the tune off my car the Idle has dropped down to 750 RPM's (It was at 950). Now, I've only driven the car twice since the Tune has been off it (The Tune, Was really for nothing but Idle and Raising the redline). The TOB is making a whole lot more Racket. Since my car does have Cams (+20's) I'm wondering if this noise would have always been as prevalent as it is now and maybe I'm just noticing it because my Idle is back to stock. Every SHO I've driven has had a Noisy TOB, I just assume this is more a lot more noticeable because because of the Lower Idle with the addition of Cams. Or, Do you think it's just on the out? Any input?

Also, Before somone says "Get a Ceramic TOB and be done with it"....Thanks, I know this.

With my 40+ cams , idle + neutral @ clutch released , mine too makes a nice racketing sound when the idle jerks. And yes I got a ceramic.

I donno if its about to fail or its normal though. but as soon as I hit the clutch , it goes away.

Yea, Mine is stock. I figured it was just because the Idle was a lot lower then it used to be. I'm driving it about an hour away tonight for a Local car meet so I just wanted to make sure.

And that was a pretty sweet burnout, too.

any vids of said burnout? I was really really close to entering my turbo SHO into a burnout contest but I am worried about it overheating since it would be in second gear at full boost. I was also worried about the air intake stealing all the smoke from the left front tire
