So the last thing I remember doing was hooking up the white face gauge kit to my Taurus and if I recall correctly there was nothing wrong with my dash lights after wiring it. I don't believe that the installation of the gauges has anything to do with this but shortly after I did the installation I noticed that a few things were wrong when my headlights were turned on...
The only lights glowing in the instrument cluster are the gauges. The needles and odometer lights don't glow anymore and the EATC buttons don't glow anymore either, along with a few other things that I'm forgetting. Another thing that I noticed is that when I turn my headlights on at night the EATC display doesn't dim, and I don't think my aftermarket radio does anymore either.
I'm thinking that it might be my interior dimmer switch because it used to act a little wierd when trying to raise or dim the interior dash lights. It would sort of skip instead of gradually increase or decrease the brightness. Does it sound like it was going bad and is now toast? Anyone have any other ideas on what could be causing this? I believe I had checked all of my fuses when I first noticed this and everything was fine, so that should eliminate one possibility. Thanks in advance guys!
