last night i was drivin home in the sho when my friend pulls up beside me in his civic, we are cruisin at a 50 and im cruisin in 3rd gear lets off 3 honks and we are off, as soon at the 3rd honk let off i was in the lead got up to 4 rpm loss of power, shifted to 4th kicked in and i gained another car length got up to about 4rpm loss of power...and etc, i was about 4car lengths when i got to 5th and i was towing away from him , i won the race but i figured i would have had alot more on him by the time i hit 4th

i think my prob might be of 2 reasons......bad gas line filter or these damn bosch spark plugs :frown:

any other suggestions

EDIT; i said 6000 in my post, but i meant 4000 i get mixed up between the sho and the integra

Are your secondaries openening?

Have you checked your throttle cable to see if it is stretched? To check it have some one floor the car (doesnt have to be on) and look at the throttle. If it doesnt open all the way you have a streched cable.

yes.. you will deffinetly hear them....

on the manifold, check the butterflys.. there is a little tab that is connected to a "cylinder" /actuator, these control the secondaries... try pushing the tabs up... they should move...
also, check the vacum lines that go to the canisters. the secondaries are controlled via vacum... at 3950... walla instant growl.....
i'll post a pic where they are at.. but they arent that hard to locate

With the manual transaxle, you can verify that the secondaries are opening by watching them. Start the engine, shift to neutral, set the parking brake, open the hood and blip the throttle cam with your hand. If the rpms get near 4,000, you can watch the vacuum diaphragm valves cycle the secondaries.

If you can confirm that the secondaries are indde opening, I would suggest that you perform a check of the catalytic converters to see if there are any loose parts inside. Some of which may have traveled down the exhaust piping and clogged the resonator, piping bends or mufflers.
