Hi All,
I'm attempting to locate an ignition power wire for my windshield camera. I located a mini fuse block under the driver's side dash. I've tried installing two mini-fuse circuit taps, however they won't sit firmly in the mini fuse block. Thereby causing intermittent power to the camera. The camera will be permanent, so I want to hide the camera power wire. Any thoughts? I dread taking the console apart, but I will do it if necessary. Thanks.

I ran mine from the camera into the cover for the mirror up into the headliner and down the passenger side a pillar into the glovebox area. From there I planned on tapping the sunroof wire to add 2 12v outlets inside the dash that are ignition controlled since there is a lot of room inside the dash. But for now now I just run it from the glovebox door to the forward console outlet. My wire is completely concealed other than the jump from the cam to the cover and from the glovebox to the outlet.

do not add anything to the fuses for major systems: powertrain and safety, anything that runs off the HS-Can bus unless you want issues. just do not have the bandwidth.
