Looking for a Gen 2 Automatic Transmission

I am looking for an automatic transmission for my 1993 Ford SHO. I live in southern MN so if you’re close I would be willing to pick it up.

Mine decided it no longer wants to get past 2nd gear

if you havent found one, I have one in Texas....dont know too much history on it other than I got if from Toolman and he said it was a good working trans as far as he knew when I got it. You can have it if you arrange all the shipping to get it to you.

There are two late 1993 ATX in Portland area U-Pull yards right now, might be there for another month. You'd need to actually go there and take it out yourself. Under $200 when you do all the work.

No collision damage, which makes one question if a bad tranny might be why one got sent to the yard. One car was a towing auction, with condition "non-runner".

car-part.com shows a 1993 200k tranny for $250 at Shaw's Auto Salvage, Warren's Wisconsin, 100 miles away

There are also closer 1995 $1600 "reman" transmissions sold in Rosemount MN and Stillwater MN, but I am a skeptic that an auto salvage yard would actually "re-manufacture" a transmission the way we'd want.

I would suggest you spend a little more and get the one you have rebuilt There are lots of unknowns in buying a used 20 year old transmission.
