Today I was going to attempt to remove the "mouse trap" from my air intake, got to the point where I needed to remove the front tire and discovered that I could not remove it because I did not have a key to unlock the lugnut that keeps people from stealing our fabulous chrome wheels! Is there any way to obtain one of these keys without going through a Ford dealer? I have searched ebay and have come up short, anyone got any suggestions, or will I have to go through Ford to get one? At least one thing is for sure, no one will be able to remove my wheels with or without my permission Ha!!! :D Just hope I don't have a flat anytime soon or I am screwed!!!!! oh_my

Take the center cap off and use a channel locks to remove the locking lugs. Then go to the Furd dealer and get 4 new lug nuts and throw the worthless locking lug nuts away.

Take the battery and tray out too to get access to the bolt that is holding the mousetrap on.

While you are at it, why not jut put the battery in the trunk?? Trunk=lots of room, Engine compartment = no room.
I'm bettin somebody here has already done this with a great deal of success. IMHO

I would like to market this but after dealing with the install questions on the VAK, which is a much easier system to install, I am hesitant.

There is a 2V cell on the bottom of that mess that is added in series to the normal 12V battery when the VAK cuts the alternator maintaining +13.5V ....

Anyone know if these wheel locks were made by "McGuard Inc" ? Could someone look at the ID card that came with your car (or should have come with the car) (Mine didn't have an ID card either)
Anyway,I found out that a replacement key is only 10 dollars. Anyone needs the number for McGuard it is 1-800-444-5847.
