Livernois tune/tuner not working

Just got finished installing the cold air box n filter -3bar map n plugs. Now when I plugged the Livernois tuner in the tuner gave the error code 6f . And reads call tech support . Can anyone help me out or knows what this means .thanks guys.

The 6F should have. Text description as n no files corrupt files etc... Remove the 3 bar MAP sensor until tune is complete..car will not play well with the new sensor until tune is complete. Report back with the text desciption.

and as removing just un plug the 3 bar and plug in the orginal one should not have to be installed, the computer just needs to see it

Thanks a lot . I did the switch & the tuner worked excellent . Then I reinstalled the 3 bar map sensor . I think the car is running stronger but I'll have to go somewhere safe to really try the new tune out . It shifts different now also . It feels fast so far.

For the record, an error code 6F means that the car is not in "Run Mode".

Lots of bewilderment and aggravation can be caused by not having the car in "run mode" when prompted by the tuning device. Don't ask me how I know that.

Right . Gettin that push button start crap figured out really helps . The Livernois's Toon is great the car is really fast I already beat on some SS Camaro with exhaust work and Tune . You gotta love Livernois and you got a love the Taurus SHO. They are both truly awesome . And the staff and customer support at Livernois's is second to none . They are truly the best at what they do over there. thanks amillion guys.it's like I'm driving a different car all over again compared to the way it was before the Livernois's tune & 3bar map n Cold air intake ️️️️!!!!

I find this post confusing. I swear I installed my LMS tune WITH the 3-bar MAP, in fact I know I did have it installed before I did the tune. I didn't get any error codes..??

Yes, OmaHahn, I installed the sensor, did NOT start the car, and then flashed the tune. I know the car will not run right if you try to start it with the sensor installed but not tuned for it.

Bruce is correct in his steps and a call to LMS Tech support confirmed that.

Download Tuning file to Tuner

Keeping OEM 2bar MAP sensor installed load tune to vehicle.

Swap out 2 bar with 3 bar MAP sensor and start vehicle......Ensure you connect the sensor to avoid PowerTrain fault light......ask me how I know.......

It was my mistake. Couldn't get into engineer mode.

Hello double o,
I'll be tuning with the Livernois tuner in the next six weeks. Two questions:
1. Please expand on the "push button start crap" comment. Not sure what you mean.
2. Did you have a 160 thermostat? Any complications noted if you do?

So if I am reading this correctly, the issue wasn't with the tuner was it? Was it that the OP just didn't have his car set in the right mode? (ACC, Run, etc)
