Sorry to hyjack but I also have a question about 2013 SHO tuning:

Is the 2013 tuner still allows us to store multiple tunes and go back and forth in between them? On the Livernois website, the 2010-2012 and 2013 tuners aren't the same...

I have a 2013 PP SHO with a K&N filter and I too want to get it tuned and maybe put a Corsa exhuast. What hp figures and times can i expect out of lets say a stage two or stage four tune? Do any of the tunes make the turbo boost 15 or more lbs?

I have a 2103 SHO, and i am ready to buy the tune for it. I have 1 silly question where do I find the strategy code. I have torque app and the Bluetooth dongle, can i get it from there or do i need to pull the ECM?

Also my car without the PP seams very sluggish off the line from 0 to about 20 MPH. then it is awesome. is that the Torque Management or the gearing of the car?

is there an ETA yet on when it will be available?

Thanks
Brad

We can tune cars here and read the strategy with different software. The device we use to actually tune the 2013 will be able to read the strategy, allowing us to tune 2013 cars very shortly. You can also remove the wipers and cowl panel and pull the computer out, but we did this on our car and there was no tag. Our car is a non-PP car as well and it went nearly a second quicker in the 1/4 mile with only our tune.

I have a PP 2013 SHO.

I'm hesitant to do the upgrade. I was thinking about going up to stage 2.

I'm worried about the longevity of the vehicle and possible warranty issues.
Are there any cars here that have had the upgrade for many miles without issues?

Also, are there any estimates as to acceleration times and performance figures for a Stage 2 SHO with PP?

I'd be real happy if I could get the car down to 4.7-4.8 sec 0-60 time.

What would this take?

We only have 1 stage for the 2013 cars at this time. We've tuned our own car and quite a few locally and they run just like the 2010-12 cars.

We have 2010-12 cars that were tuned when close to new with, 30,000-75,000 miles and no issues whatsoever.

The 2013 tuner currently holds stock + 1 custom. Soon, it will hold stock + 3 custom, but we only have one tune for the 2013 cars at this time.

Thank you,

Thanks Rick for the answers above! :thumb:

But I guess you missed this one, which I would also like to know, with the only stage available yet :corn:

We increase boost minimally... 1.5-2 lbs over stock. The turbos are so small, just throwing boost at them generates heat and no more power.

I would expect high 12's-low 13's with a tune and catback.

There are at least 100 cars with tunes (probably twice that). I do not know of any problems with the tunes. I have had mine for 25,000 plus miles. With that said, if you have a problem that can be attributed to the tune, they will deny coverage. Some dealerships are cool with a tune, others are not. You need to have a good relationship with your dealer and service department.

With these tuners can you simply revert to stock before servicing or can the dealership read that the vehicle had previously been tuned regardless?

I have asked the same question a few times. They can see that the ECM re-started and/or had a flash. That said they cant tell what, but the ECM will tally so if they see 8 re-flashes they may think something is going on.

From reading others experiences it doesnt sound like they check for it unless they think you caused some damage. At least a couple guys on here developed the early turbo leak (you car is safe, its just on our early cars) and the dealer fixed under warranty. I think it depends on the dealer. Also doesnt hurt to be friendly with the service advisors and manager.

I am in the same boat waiting on the tune and hoping for that short rpm range to improve. I also don't like that the paddles shift up whether you want to or not. It took me a few days to stop going from launch to 3rd gear because the delayed upshift would cause the car to shift to 2nd and my shift caused it to go into 3rd. I regret not getting the PP if track mode fixes that, but the summer tires were a deal killer. These size tires are very expensive!! At least I can downshift and keep the revs up.

We're happy to say that after testing internally and with several people externally, we're ready to release our 2013 tuners.

Livernois Motorsports is currently the only company able to tune your 2013 Taurus SHO, Flex, or MKS. Our custom tune is by far the biggest bang for the buck mod for these vehicles. Our 2013 SHO was baselined at Milan Dragway in 70 degree heat and ran 14.3 @ 96 mph. A few weeks later, with only our custom tune and no other modifications, the car ran 13.4 @ 103 mph in 102 degree heat.

Click to order yours today!

Thank you

Rick LeBlanc

Is the stock SHO that slow, Motor Trend tested the 2013 and it did it in 13.7 at 103 with the PP. That's a really a slow time for a stock SHO IMHO heck the heavier Flex do 98 mph in 1/4. If that's the case then Ford really needs to get to work. When a normal everyday Nissan Altmia V-6 and Accord Honda V-6 are faster in the 1/4 then your high performance flagship sedan that's really sad.

I traded in my 530xi for a 2013 SHO with Performance Pack.

This car exceeds all my expectations - although i have a few gripes about the myFord system. But overall, its a great car.

Does the Livernois Tune void the manufacturers warranty?

Did you ever check into the 535 before you bought the SHO? The tune on them adds a lot of HP and Torq.
