first i would like to say hi to everyone. i was on here a while ago but i sold my sho and i was so ashamed i did it i didnt come back on. well i got my sho back. the guy who i sold it to was about to sell it and i told him i wanted it back so i got it. YAY!!!. while he had it he did some maintainence to it. he did a timing belt drive belts a few oil changes.. nothing major. i get it back and the people who did the drive belts over tightened the power steering belt and made the bearings in the water pump go bad. sounds JUST like the power steering pump. its not though i have 100% confidence it is the water pump. my concern is intermittently when i get deep in the throttle it seems to be lacking power. almost like the timing isnt advancing with the higher rpms. but other times it pulls harder then ive ever felt. it has no idle issues and no vacuum leaks. today i almost lost a race to a chevy 2500 duramax. i ahve no check engine codes or anything like that. has anyone else ever experienced this issue? if so how easy is it to rectify.

btw some mods done to it are y pipe, 69mm throttle body, lincoln mark VIII maf, computer done by that ted guy with the french last name (i cant remember exactly i dont have the paperwork in front of me.)

any insite would be greatly appreciated

First of all, I hope you were at the track racing the duramax.
Secondly, if you did indeed beat him, your car is probably running great, because those diesels can be crazy fast.
Third, we need more info on your car...what year? ATX or MTX? etc..
Also, are you hearing a sound comming from the belt side of the engine?

i had him by a half a car length

and yes belt side of the motor. i put a long handled screw driver on the waterpump and it is clearly coming from there. that race my car was pulling hard. but if it was lagging i would have lost for sure. i couldnt even begin to guess whats going on when its lagging. the best way i can describe it is when the secondary runners open it pulls when the same feel as below 4k rpm. as opposed to when its normal you get that sudden feel of pulling alot harder. maybe this is a sign that i shouldnt be racing or getting deep into it unless im at the track.

You probably want to retune the thing. I would check plugs for oil seals leaking and shorting out spark.

yes ted breaux. does anyone know how to get a hold of him? im thinkin about turbo my car and in the paperwork it said if i did any other mods i need to have it retuned. is he the only one that can do it?
