Now...most of us know that line out convertors (LOCs from here on out) convert a speaker signal into an RCA input for an amplifier so that you can add a decent aftermarket amp to a factory stereo....now, here's my question...can it work the other way around?

Basically what I got is a decent Pioneer head unit with built in seperate high pass and low pass crossovers. Right now, everything's running through my stock non-JBL amp right now, and that poor lil amp's powering all 6 inside speakers (components in the front doors) plus a JL 6W0 in a modified factory enclosure. What I'd like to do is run the sub off the amp crossed over from the deck (with the sub level control active and all that) while my mids and highs run off the head unit. Make sense? So anyone think this'll work?

I think what you're actually looking for wouldn't be considered a line converter at all, but more of a line adapter. The opposite of a line converter is a amplifier. I don't think it'll work.

I haven't seen anything like that before. I have seen people cut apart signal cables and splice it into an amp, but it's kinda ghetto if you ask me.

I think you'd be better off using a different amp, that takes an RCA input.
