A couple of ideas...could you use an adhesive instead of pop rivets to hold the lexan to the bracing?

what about removing the bracing on the underside of roof panel, a la non-Moonroof equipped SHO? might save some additional weight...

I suspect that adhesive may not be enough to hold the roof panel in place. But then again, I've been wrong plenty of times before!

We've looked at removing the "bracing", but concluded that the savings isn't worthwhile for us. Others could decide otherwise. Keeping the bracing in place allows us to also keep the drain tubes. If the custom 'roof leaks, this will keep the passengers dry.

Every project seems to have multiple routes to the objective. This was our route. Your thought is equally fine too!
