Thanks. There is an article about it in Grassroots Motorsports Mag. I haven't seen it yet though.

Yep we did it. Grassroots Motorsports mag April issue.
But some of the other racers think we were cheating. Like we can call Summit and order go faster parts. All they know is a Taurus is a slow family car, how can it win a race? Because S H O !!!

and all those that think we are cheating I've invited them over to the shop so I can put the car on the rack so they can tell me exactly how that I'm cheating.
Its amazing the negativity we received by other racers thinking we all cheated. Each one of our cars blew a motor and at LEAST one tranny during the racing season.
They failed but to see that when the motor holds together that it loves to be beat for high RPMs for long periods of time. Of course this is when all goes right.
We won but kinda of a hollow victory with everyone suspecting us of doing something that in the end the car/motor was originally designed to do.

Forget them!!! All they are doing is illustrating their own lack of knowledge and showing how closed minded they are. If they didnt know how you guys were winning, they should have spent some time doing research before pointing fingers. I have run into this MANY times when I run away from peoples beloved IROC's and 5.0's (not the new ones of course).
I smile and say I must have just got lucky.
