My left rear brake is runnng hot....really hot if I drive for a while. I was wondering why my mileage was so bad. It wasn't until a 100 degree day during the summer that I heard it sticking that I discovered it.
I replaced the pads caliper and rotor. I disconnected the parking brake. Still, it will happen. Here's the clue. If I try to bleed that brake, and I step on the brake nothing comes out. I have to start the car so the brakes are boosted and then it will bleed. A couple of years ago I had part of the line repairred with a flaired connector. Could it be a clog maybe. What about the bias adjuster. It looks like it is just hanging there. Would you suggest undoing the brake line where it connects to the bias to see it it bleeds with the engine off? Any ideas?

Sounds like the rubber line to that caliper has possibly collapsed internally and is restricting the flow of fluid. Pretty common problem. Try replacing the hose....about $20.

Yes, they do. Stainless lines are the way to go - one of the best investments out there :thumb:

You should replace the right side line also, so they have equal fluid pressure, and if the left failed the right probably isn't that far behind.
