I just wanted to make a post at let everyone know how my dealings with LeeSHO have been so far.

I contacted LeeSHO when I found out that his was parting out his '89 SHO. I sent him a message, and got a price for the rod shifter he had on the car, and his dash.

From LeeSHO 2/16/07:
Asking if money order had been sent yet.

To LeeSHO 2/16/07:
PM stating money order mailed that day.

To LeeSHO 2/20/07:
PM asking if the MO had been received.

From LeeSHO 2/20/07:
PM stating MO should be received today.

To LeeSHO 2/25/07:
Same question.

From LeeSHO 2/25/07:
Stating MO should clear by Tuesday, parts being put in boxes.

To LeeSHO 2/25/07:
Acknowlegement MO received.

To LeeSHO 3/2/07:
Asked for an update.

To LeeSHO 3/6/07:
Update request.

From LeeSHO 3/6/07:
PM stating MO cleared last week, parts not shipped because he was out of state, that parts will be shipped tomorrow, and request for address again.

To LeeSHO 3/6/07:
Resent shipping address.

To LeeSHO 3/10/07:
Asking if parts had shipped as car goes in for work in 1 week.

To LeeSHO 3/12/07:
Message stating that all my messages show they've been read, but have received no replies, and according to LeeSHO, the MO should have cleared 2 weeks prior. Plead to ship parts.

From LeeSHO 3/13/07:
Message that MO cleared, parts sent last Friday, and that he doesn't scam anyone.

To LeeSHO 3/13/07:
PM letting LeeSHO know I wasn't implying a scam, but was worried as there was no shipping notice/confirmation or any trackin numbers sent.

From LeeSHO 3/13/07:
PM telling me parts should arrive by Wednesday or Thursday.

To LeeSHO 3/17/07:
Message letting him know rodshifter received, but no dash. Asked if it was sent separately.

From LeeSHO 3/17/07:
PM saying dash will be shipped separately. He forgot. It will be sent out priority mail, first thing monday.

To LeeSHO 3/17/07:
PM thanking him for the parts.

To LeeSHO 3/18/07:
PM asking if he had missing rod shifter bracket.

To LeeSHO 3/25/07:
Looking for update.

To LeeSHO 3/29/07:
Still no dash, or reply about the rodshifter.

Now, I know it may seem like I'm asking for updates often, but according to the forum, EVERY PM I sent was read the day it was sent, save for one message sent on the 3/18, that was read the next day.

I'm kind of disappointed in the lack of communication, and really wished I would have been informed when parts shipped and been provided with a shipping number for the one part I received.

I really didn't want to make a post about this, but this twice this year (and it's only March) that I've had trouble buying parts from people parting cars. *** have not got my any responses, as you can see, it's been 12 days since the last PM was received. I'm in no dire need for the parts at the moment, but the fact remains that I send $200 for parts, and haven't received everything I paid for yet. I'm hoping this will get some kind or response.

That's really all I have to say about this. I'll let all the SHOforum members draw their own opinions on it.

I agree with you. When I get paid for parts, they go out the next day unless I die or something out of my control happens. I dont understand why people wait to ship anyways, they set the prices, they get the $, then they sit on the money. Doesnt make sense to me. Hopefully he sorts this out for you.

I have also had problems with LeeSHO. I paid him through paypal, and he used the same line with me. But I have yet to hear back from him in a week. He said the shipping was too expensive, and he was looking for some other way to ship it. When I purchase something and someone gives me a price for shipping, I just wait for the parts. It isn't my problem if the shipping costs are actually higher. We agreed on a price.

And so I must now make a claim against him to get my paypal payment back. Atleast you got something from him. And he was reading my pm's just as fast as yours and not replying as well.

I beleive LeeSHO deserves a thumbs down. And a lot more. I just want my parts or my money back. Why do people think it's okay to accept payment, and then not respond to emails or pm's for over a week?

Some of the lack of communication might fall back on me. I found it necessary to limit his account for adding additional parts cars/whole cars to his ad in the classified area that was supposed to be for 1 parts car only. He did PM'd me asking what the cost was for an unlimited ad and I PM'd him back regarding that, but I never received payment for the unlimited ad that I'm aware of. There have been a couple of donations made that didn't specify what/who they were for but neither of the email addresses used for the payments matched any registered users on the forum. I also sent emails out to those who made payments and there has been no response. My hands are tied in that department since I've gone down every avenue I know of to try and get their ads posted if that's what the donations were for.

After he kept adding parts/cars on more than one occasion I limited his account though I did not limit his PM ability. I also removed his ad for the 2 and and final time. He has sold parts off a Gen 2 and another whole car even though his ad was only supposed to be for an 89. That's not fair for those who go through the proper channels for classifieds here on the forum.

I don't regret making the decision I made, but I do regret that if any action I have taken against him has caused his lack of response to you guys. He was last on the forum at 3:15 yesterday afternoon if that is any consolation at all.

I actually emailed his nonforum account, and he responded to me a couple of times saying he would ship, but then as I said, he complained about the shipping price. I haven't heard anything since then. So this was no fault of your's. If he wasn't following the rules then I agree with your decision. Now hopefully I can get something back from him.

Anyone else have problems with this guy?

I just want my dash. That's all I want. Until now, I've been unable to find an uncracked dash for an '89. I don't want a refund. I find it very disappointing that he has been online, on the forums, but not responded back.

Titanium89SHO, I'd go through with that PayPal claim. I don't know what I can do about getting anything done. I think I'm just out a chunk of change. :frown:

And, like you said, he agreed on a price for the products and shipping, and should have shipped them as soon as he received the money. I'm sure that the money we both sent him would more than cover the shipping costs for the parts. He just has to take a hit on his profit for an incorrect shipping quote if it turns out to be more than he anticipated.

umm..you have more couse of action than titanium has. if pp cant collect the money,he's out..period. sendind postal money orders is the correct way to do it. first off all, your using the US POST OFFICE,who does it belong to again? yeah, that right, the US GOVERNMENT!!!so now we're dealing with mail fraud,i KNOW FOR A FACT that in new york state, mail fraud carries a larceny charge. for enough money, it can also be a federal offense,so you used federal property(pmo, mail system). all you need to do is file a complaint with your local police dept. they'll contact his hometown police dept. they'll do all the leg work tracking him down.

More on my ongoing drama with LeeSHO:

He finally decided to contact me through e-mail after I sent him a PM stating my intentions of visiting the local post office and/or police station on Monday. He quickly said that he had tried to PM me numerous times.... Right. "Now you wanna start some stupid bs on the forum," is part of his first reply I received through e-mail. I'm sorry LeeSHO. I didn't start the BS. I requested parts that you said you had, sent you money 47 days ago, and have received the runaround since. You, sir, have brought this all upon yourself.

Also, I've now learned that, he doesn't even have the missing bracket I need for my rod shifter. Here's the direct quote from the e-mail: "i told you before, those pieces didnt' come with the rod shifter, you could get it from bittersweetSHO , those are brackets for the shifter, i dont have those brackets." Not only am I appalled by the fact that he didn't inform me that the rod shifter was not complete, but slightly disturbed that he would try to send me to bittersweet. So, now I'm asking for a partial refund, that I doubt I'll ever get.

My dash has still not shipped, as far as I know. I have no tracking number, or shipping confirmation, even though he posted early this morning in the "Report Forum" that the parts had already been shipped.

As April comes to a close, I bring you all updates of my dealings with LeeSHO. Over the last couple of weeks, I've learned that Lee doesn't even know how to remove the dash that he sold me. He first told me to just get a dash cover, because he had no idea how to do it. He asked if I had ever removed one before. I quickly pointed on the dash removal procedures I found here (thank you Search button), that should help him on his way. That's been well over a week. He's offered to send me other parts from his parts car, as well. I finally emailed Lee late last night and told him that we needed to start discussing a refund. He told me he's just going to remove every screw he can find and hope for the best.
I'm really tired of dealing with this guy. So, I told him, I'm tired of waiting, and as stated in the previous email, I want a refund. I imagine I'll get that refund around the same time my 21st birthday rolls around in August.

Another update:

I finally got an e-mail back following a message sent to him demanding a $100 refund for the dash, the damaged and incomplete rod shifter, and some compensation for having my money for nearly 3 months now. I honestly believe this is a fair amount. Also, I believe the only reason he responded to this email was the fact that I mentioned police involvement again. I guess he just doesn't reply unless you remind him he's been breaking the law.

Apparently, Lee believes we settled on $120 for the rod shifter, and states that it was $30 to ship. That means the cost left over to cover the dash and shipping was a mere $50. So, that's the refund he wants to send me.

I know he's no longer on the boards, and most people aren't paying much attention to this, but I hope that if he does someday comeback, his new screen name or whatever can be linked back to this thread somehow.

Man.. this guy irks me. I really hope he never has the opportunity to participate in the SHO community again.

Just as a heads up,
I did finally receive my stuff, but it was not as I expected. I have to put new wheel bearings in the knuckles, and get the rotors turned. This coming from an "almost new" 96' upgrade, lol yeah right. Most of the hardware was not included as well. I figured I would just forget about it.

Remember who LeeSho is, and nooneever do business with him again. I will not let one idiot affect my belief that this is a good forum that has people that actually want to help eachother.

I would just go to the police, and get a full refund. Tell them the story, and how the rod shifter sucks and why, and nail this guy. He deserves it. Good Luck.

If I were you I would check out what Tinman95 did to get his money back from Black '93. If you have his address, money order reciept, and emails you can surely go after him through your local PD Detectives. Check out the thread here. Its worth a try. I wouldn't give up on principle alone. Good luck and keep us posted.

So, apparently I don't want to "escalade" this or get the police involved, according to LeeSho, because he has a coworker and aunt on the police force in Wheatley Heights, NY. Apparently, his story would slide rather than my own because of this. Further more, I should travel to New York to settle this face to face.

Also, apparently rod shifters never come with all the necessary brackets to install them, and $120 is a pretty decent deal for one. Also, the rod shifter, packaged in two duct taped boxes, was packed tightly and correctly, and cost $35 to ship. So, by all accounts, purchasing and shipping the dash would've only been $45. He had originally offered to send me back $50, but I've now received the generous offer of $60, $10 more for the delay on the dash.....

Am I the only one who thinks that these values are a little bit.... off?

That's ********! Since he's got an aunt on the police force I think he'd be put under heavier pressure so as not to embarrass her or give the family a bad name, not the other way around. You might even want to find out who his aunt is and give her a call directly. I'm sure she could apply pressure where needed.

I've got only one thing to say and that is do not drop the issue and do not accept his partial refund. Oh, and save ALL the emails between the two of you.
