Ok, I've always believed that if it looks to good to be true, it probably is.

SHOSource has the Ingalls LCA's and they seem to be priced extremely well. $50 per side when rockauto has "Mevotech" for $38. The Ingalls seem like a great deal. Not complaining, just wondering.

Anybody have them?

Also, should I do both or one at a time? If I do one and get an alignment I should be good. But what if the OTHER side goes? Then, I need another alignment. So I was thinking both and be done.

On the other hand, I'm trying to save some money too. I have a top 60K and a radiator needing to be done too.

Thanks!

front or rear? there isn't any adjust-ability with front control arms so you shouldn't require a new alignment. they are a remove and replace kinda deal.

main differences you will find is brand name and possibly the warranty offered. both should either meet or exceed OEM specs. I have a MOOG LCA waiting to be installed here and I'm pretty happy with how it looks

I think he means for the front. You should both at the same time. As for alignment, I guess you wont need to if youre not removing anything else. You also want to make sure that they are SHO specific and not for the wagon or anything

I'm doing the front. As for the alignment, I guess if it doesn't need to be redone every time I change out the LCA, I might just do one at a time.

What would be the downside as far as doing one LCA at a time?

I have the ingalls from sho source and they work just fine for me. I would def do both sides and while you are there you might aswell change the strut rod bushings, if you havent already done them.

I did the bushings when I did the struts last month. When I took the car to get it aligned, that's when they said I need a ball-joint and they couldn't do the job until I get it.

Now, it's been about 3 weeks and my new tires are starting to wear on the inside. :frown:

I have great success with Mevotech's stuff. Ball joints, sway bar endlinks and bushings have been just as good if not better than some of the bigger name brands. I recommend there stuff for sure.

I would only do the side that needs it.
And why not try the new brand. Older companies with good reputations can have a change in management (or get bought out) and start feeding the public crap, so yesterdays great names are no guarantee now.
There have been posts on here where people outline how they do their own alignment. I remember pictures with string lines, and whatever, on how it is done. Do a search and see if that is for you.

I'd do both sides. Just less stuff you have to do at another time. What if both sides are back? or the other side. Just do both

I can say for the Ingalls products they are good quality parts and if you do have any problems we will be here to support the warranty.

Also you would be supporting a SHO vendor.

I know, I really like that aspect of it. I bought some of my 60K parts from you about 2 years ago and the shipping was stupid fast!

Seeing as the Ingalls are only $11 more, I'm sure I'll be going that way.

Thanks for the info!

I would buy both sides, and be done with it.
