Just curious what everyone is launching at because any time I go over 1900 Rpms it goes into limp more immediately. It's done that since it was tune only. I feel like my 60 ft times are suffering because of it. It doesnt spin any worse at 2200 than 1900. And yes tc is off.

Launching at 2000 RPM is where I have gotten my best numbers. My car has never gone into limp mode. I can't hold the RPM long enough to really build boost because my brakes will not hold the car.

Strange. I've had mine go into limp mode when brake boosting and lighting up all 4, but only with the traction control on. It took it a while to recover. Just sputtered along for a while.

I've never had the problem with the traction control off though. Is yours a non-PP like mine? Maybe your stability control is overactive and taking over or maybe your traction control isn't truly turning off?

Do these cars have limited slip differentials in front and rear? I was assuming they didn't so you would only be lighting up 2 tires and not all 4.

My car will also bog into limp mode if I try to launch at or above about 2400 rpms with TC off.

Good point! They do not have limited slip diff's. Would be nice, but...nope.

Would make an awesome aftermarket addition!

Yep non pp. it's very unfortunate. I can bring it up to 2200 and it leaves hard then falls on its face.

Do you have a tune with your non-PP car? Is the driving and track still good after upgrading with this tune? Thanks!

I have two different tunes from different suppliers that I'm testing very slowly. I usually have the family with me, so data logging takes me longer than it does for most.

My car has a studder issue that I'm trying to diagnose that does not appear to be timing or fuel related as the data logs look great. Until that's resolved, the car doesn't drive very well stock or with either tune. Dealer was unable to replicate of course. That being said, the only difference in daily driving or "track" use is that the car is faster tuned. No downside.

Stutter? Any chance this is a 1-2 shift situation???

No. My stutter is mostly between 1400 and 1500 rpm in top gear. It's getting worse. Either converter, motor, or ptu. Starting to do it more frequently which is good for diagnosis purposes.

Is it under lighter throttle, Before it will downshift?
I had that slightly when I bought the car and got worse over six months or so.. After much reading on here I decided to suck the oil out of my intercooler and change the spark plugs.
The issue was 100% gone immediately after this.
For the cost with this simple service it's more than worth it before going to a shop/dealer.

I have cleaned out the CAC. Did a compression test today just to eliminate another possibility and it came out fine. I'm definitely leaning toward torque converter.

Still under warranty I hope. Maybe then can fix any clutch/band problems while in there.

Yup. Bought as a CPO so plenty of warranty. I just need to get them to feel what I feel.

I live in the mountains where the ups and downs make the stutter very apparent and annoying on a daily basis. The dealership is down out of the mountains where the car behaves better. Thankfully, the service manager is a good guy and believes me. I just need him to experience the issue. Might have to take him for a long lunch. LOL
