So we ran the KOER test at O'Reilly's today and it came up with two codes: 521 and 632. I have the Chilton book and it came up with 521 being a power steering issue, and 632 being a transmission sensor issue. When I steer to the right, the steering wheel has issues and likes to fight me a little bit.

With the 632, the reader said it was the transmission O/D switch. My car has recently started kicking when shifting weird, it shifts and acts like it goes into neutral and can't accelerate for a second or two. It finally shifts, and sounds like a loud thump when it does. It shifts really hard.

Any thoughts or ideas on what is/are the issue(s) here? I'm not a SHO vet nor a mechanic.

my 1993 Ford service manual said DTC 521 is caused by a faulty power steering pressure (PSP) switch 3N824 it is tied thru the PCM as input for transmission function. This would obviously be less expensive to replace than anything in the trans.

Confirmed: DTC 632 is associated with the TCS

Shifting is all done with electric solenoids, one might be failing.

Describe the symptoms in more detail, load vs no-load, shift speeds etc. Anything you have tried (manually shifting) - assuming the harshness is 3-4.
