Hey guys, I got a problem(don't we all). My car started making some bad noises the other day.
1: When I start it up it makes a bad knocking sound for a couple seconds then goes away, then,
2: While idling it makes a faint tapping/knocking sound and last,
3: While driving around, once I hit about 3K the motor starts to kindof knock I guess. No real way to describe it. But it does it in every gear all the way up to redline.
The car has been sitting a while; driven about every 2 weeks or so. It was fine then one day it just started making noises. THe car has about 162,000 miles on it and has'nt had a 60K yet. Could that be it or maybe something down lower?
It doesn't sound like valve tapping. I don't even want to start it now.

. I don't really have any means to tell where it's coming from. I'm afraid it might be the rod bearings. I hope not; I'll replace those when I have $.
