Dealer should be able to look it up via your VIN. Otherwize if you have a Gen1/2 it's on a sticker under the trunk lid. On a Gen3 as I found out it's on the side of the computer way up under the dash.

Can you be more specific about the trunk sticker? there are a couple with many sets o numbers.
As I mentioned earlier, the dealers are a big joke. Not once have they been able to help me.

On a Gen 1 it's also located on your amp in the trunk.

The keyless entry code is a five digit number. The base code is not changeable, but you can add new codes that may be easier for you to remember. Do you have the owner's manual? The instructions to add new codes are in the manual.

No owner's manual.
If the codes are not reprogrammable, what's to keep any previous owner from gting into it?

I read and printed out some intsructions as to how to change the factory code, I think. That's the way I interpeted it.

I will post the url tomorrow when I get it off the printout. It is in my office at work. The process seemed very simple. I haven't done it yet, it is on my to do list.

Also, you cannot change it. The code is PERMANENT

Well I did a search and found the article I mentioned before. It was on SHO Times. http://webpages.cwia.com/~bdklein/sho.htm

It involves some soldering and new components so I take it that it will actually change the factory code not just add to it like the manual mentions.

Let me know what ya'll think. I would like a new code.

to add a new code:
1. enter the 5 digit factory code
2. hit the 1/2 key pad within 5 sec.
3. hit the 7/8 and the 9/0 simultaneously
(this clears any added codes)
4. enter the factory 5 digit code again
5. hit the 1/2 pad again (within 5 sec.)
6. enter the new 5 digit code of your choice.
