Well, I spent the evening installing new u-joints on my Mustang after the rear joint failed several weeks ago while my mother was driving it. Since it has been sitting for almost a month, I decided to take it out for a drive.

Spent about 30 minutes south of town driving pretty aggressively (getting my v8 fix) and decided to come back home. On my way back home, I had toned down my driving and was doing about 5 over the speed limit heading north on an empty street. Crested a hill, shifted into neutral and coasted down it. By the bottom of the hill, I was doing about 45. Just when I was about to hit the brakes, I see a cop in a parking lot running radar. :woo-hoo:

Got a nice little ticket for 46 in a 35. Cop was nice, I was polite and readily admitted my mistake... Even pulled over before he turned his lights on. Just kinda ****** how I spent about 30 minutes driving like an ****** in the middle of nowhere and when I finally ease back on the go-pedal and coast in neutral, I get a damned ticket.

Overland Park, hopefully my check is spent well! Looks like thats another chunk of change coming out of the "Buy a gen 3 SHO" fund. :swing:

Cop: Do you know how fast you were going?
Clay: Well I have not done the math yet but I was traveling about 53 seconds per mile marker.

30 seconds sounds more realistic

Oh snap! Joe made a mathematical joke towards Clay that hinted at his triple digit misfortunes from a few months ago! :snicker:

For the less smart people out there, 30 seconds equates to 120mph. :nut:

PSH.. well then it was less than that..
When i got in trouble for speeding in tripple digits i was nice to the cop! i didn't want to go to jail!!

Well, on my way back from CT, i dont remember the speed, but my odometer read .9 miles per every mile marker..

Plus i have the cursed bouncy speedo... even if i was going 60 it varies between 58 and 62! :p

fifth circle of ****
considering the length of the road and where you started I'm going to say that 120 is a reasonable estimate and anything much faster would take much more pavement.
